Dear Mr. President:
I'm limited to 1500 characters, so bear with me. Whether you are Obama or McCain, I'm praying for you right now, and I support you as you support this country. The U.S. is full of people with different views/opinions, all different races and religions; this means you're not going to please every single one of us. That's okay. Even though Lincoln was assassinated, he is still considered one of the greatest presidents. Mr. President, my hope and prayer is that, for the next 4 years, you focus solely on these things: 1) helping immigrants, legal or illegal, become citizens and get started, just as we all were not too long ago, 2) bring our country out of debt, b/c in this way, we can better ourselves and take a weight off our shoulders, and help other countries, maybe sharing our wealth? and 3) do not forget the ways of our Founding Fathers; they wanted a free, Christian, equal-rights-for-all country that could change the world. And it has. Help us by raising the expectations for education (other countries are passing us up intellectually), giving illegal immigrants a chance for citizenship, just as we had not long ago, and remember that, whether people like it or not, we're still one nation under God, and we're all praying for you, that you will make decisions that give glory to Him. If this letter never gets to you, then I apologize to those who forgot the 1st amendment. God bless America, and God bless you! -a 16-year old that wants the old America
