2 Vote From a Soldier

I am a soldier, serving my God and my country. You Mr. President hold my life in your hands. You hold my buddies lives in your hand. I pray for you that you will make the right choices. By being elected the nation puts trust in you. I pray that you will do God's will!

1 Vote Everything

Hi. my name is Gabriel. I would just like to say that, although I already know that I do not agree with all of your views or ideas, I respect you as the primary authoritative figure in our country. I honor you for the tough decisions that you make every day, although I might not agree with the outcome of said decisions. With that said, the middle class is shrinking and that should NOT happen. Also, How come we pay over four dollars on a gallon of gas. now, cut the crap load of excuses, why does Venezuela pay 12 cents a gallon? you do realize that is about 35 times less than what we pay. Don’t make excuses, just fix it! that is why you were elected into office, to fix things! Also, Don’t end the war in Iraq, finish it.before I go, please apologize to the world for, well, America’s Numerous mistakes!

114 Vote Why You?

Mr. President;

Some will ask "Why you?" A fact that can not be disputed now, but still a question some will be asking. I take comfort in knowing that our Heavenly Father knows, and it is in HIM, where we must first place out trust.

My prayer for you is this: that the blueprint of your character going forward in leading America, will be grounded in a relationship with God. There are people that believe that your faith should be separate from the way you govern. Yet, how does one separate his faith from his politics, when faith is part of our character? I believe it is impossible to do, for it is our faith that defines our way of thinking, our values, our relationships with others, and it is what sustains us, as we are tested. God will be your rock, your firm foundation. Trust Him and build our house, The White House, on that solid rock. It cannot be shaken, even though it will be tested.

Psalm 127:1 says: Unless the Lord builds the house, those who built it, labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.

God will always offer you the possible when the impossible is presented to you. Rest in God, regain your footing, get back to the blueprint of your faith. Expect the unexpected, it will happen. This time, this position which God has placed before you is daunting, yet wonderful and challenging. It will stretch your faith and test your will, relish in it, be thankful that you have been chosen for the task that is ahead. You have been called, not just by the people of America, but by God. At times it will seem surreal and overwhelming; and in those times remember WHO it was that chose you for this job, at this time, in our country's History. What a blessing, what a job, how great is our God - He will show you, allow Him to lead you. Take times to just be still, and take comfort and rest in His Arms.

In 1775 Samuel Adams said: Nothing is more essential to the establishment of manners in a State than that all persons employed in places of power and trust must be men of unexceptionable characters.

God Bless You Mr. President,

Terri Green

3 Vote My Hopes

At the time I am writing this letter, I do not know who will be reading it. I hope you are a person who truly loves the United States and are willing to be truthful and strong in leading us.
I hope you will support the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and NOT pull them out prematurely based on political popularity. I believe in the will of the people, but sometimes the people do not have all the information to make the most informed decisions. These decisions are complex, and sometimes the protesting crowds have tunnel vision about an issue. I hope you will keep taxes low, that you will encourage the search for new energy sources, support tapping our own oil resources off shore and in Anwar—listen to the experts. I hope you will press auto makers to develop more cost effective cars at prices that are affordable. I hope you will continue to fight against things that make our country weak such as terrorism and illegal drugs. We have to be safe before we can be secure enough to focus on other issues. Please secure our borders. Appoint judges that do not have a liberal agenda. Try to keep God in our thoughts and prayers for this great land—and it is a great country—-I don't believe those who whine about other countries not respecting us. Other countries may be envious, or think that we have too much and use too many of the world's resources. I can see why they would think that. However, we are also the most generous. Our government is the first to send help to any and all disasters—even to countries which are not supportive of the US, because we care about the people that are suffering. And it isn't just the US government that helps those in the world who are struggling. As individuals americans give a huge amount to end disease, hunger, orphans, and victims of disaster. I don't know of any country that cares as much about others and backs it up with aid. I do not think the US has anything to apologize for. We are a good nation. Our policies are fair and take the wellfare of others into consideration. It makes me angry when I hear someone say "we are war mongers—or kill indiscriminately". That is just not true. On another note, PLEASE stop waste in Washington. Projects cost too much and earmarks are crazy. I think more americans would be raising hell about this practice if more people understood what is going on. If a legislator wants funds to accomplish something, then propose it and let it be voted on in the light of scrutiny—not hidden in a bill that is likely to be passed–that's like being a stoweaway–or like sneaking across the border. Be honest and true. Don't allow yourself to be used or "bought". Be proud of this country and our heritage. Do the best job you are capable of doing.

Sincerely,

K. N. Moore

0 Vote Dear Mr. President

Dear Mr. President,
First of all I would like to thank you for taking the task of running for President. I know it is not easy to give every ounce of yourself and to expose every aspect of your life to the media. Thank you for giving of yourself for the good of the country.
Mr. President, I write this letter to ask you to pray before whatever decision you may make in office. I know that this is easier said than done. I pray that you will not view everything as black and white, good or evil, with us or against us. I realize that at times it is what gets the crowd energized to talk in such a manner, but from my life experience it is that kind of thinking that alienates and gives me the illusion that I am better than someone different from me. I pray that you value the differences that our cultures and languages give us.
I also ask, Mr. President, that you do not let any political party decide what is "Chrisitan" or "Moral", but that we use the teachings of Christ as our guide to right action. I pray that you do not use minorities of Americans that are not "mainstream" as political tools, but that you valuse their rights and beliefs as you would your own. I pray most of all that you hold to the belief that we should do unto others as we would have them do unto us, and that we apply this rule to not only the American people, but the people of the entire world.
Good Luck, God Bless.

3 Vote The Top Ten Things to "Fix" in the First 10 Days

Congratulations on winning the election! It was a hard fought battle. My daughter and I stayed up the night of the election watching the states change colors on the news casts. Blue to red, red to blue; not only does the electoral system work, it’s fun to watch! Even though my home state of Mississippi sent our votes to “the other candidate”, I would still appreciate you giving some attention to my top 10 things to “Fix” the first ten days in office. These should be real easy to fix! ;)
1. Please bring back $1.99 gas. Sorry I complained back then, but I remember it being 88 cents “forever” while I was growing up and I ‘m not that old!
2. Create a new government position, “Ambassador to Wal-Mart” that makes sure their prices “keep falling”.
3. Cut Taxes in half. I’m OK with you guys having a little, but give us a break.
4. Implement a mandatory nap-time for all working Americans. We’re just all so tired. I believe we’d all be a much nicer to each other with this nap.
5. Create financial incentives for “jobless by choice” Americans. You can do this by cutting of their “Checks.” Give the money that you saved from the group above to the “jobless by circumstance” group. I know it may be hard to tell the difference between the two, but you’ll figure it out.
6. Put criminals to work, not just in jail. Construction, Farming, or Judicial Appointments, let them work off their debt. There are many who are more scared of a day’s work than the electric chair. Their thinking must be, well at least I get to sit down.
7. Lock down the boarder! There is a legal way for everyone in the world to visit here or even become a citizen. We should welcome them with open arms, but those crawling through the doggie door need to get in line. If you want to get in line then visit http://www.uscitizenship.info/.
8. Eliminate illegal drugs from our country by using satellite imagery, gps, and laser guided missiles to take care of the problem.
9. Appoint the management at Starbucks to take over the healthcare system, as to create a customer focus healthcare experience. I know it will probably cost us a lot more, but I’m sure it will be a wonderful experience. We’ll want to go back.
10. Give free i-phones to every American. OK, even the illegals can have one!
I know that most of these are a joke, but It was fun dreaming!
