Mr. President;
Some will ask "Why you?" A fact that can not be disputed now, but still a question some will be asking. I take comfort in knowing that our Heavenly Father knows, and it is in HIM, where we must first place out trust.
My prayer for you is this: that the blueprint of your character going forward in leading America, will be grounded in a relationship with God. There are people that believe that your faith should be separate from the way you govern. Yet, how does one separate his faith from his politics, when faith is part of our character? I believe it is impossible to do, for it is our faith that defines our way of thinking, our values, our relationships with others, and it is what sustains us, as we are tested. God will be your rock, your firm foundation. Trust Him and build our house, The White House, on that solid rock. It cannot be shaken, even though it will be tested.
Psalm 127:1 says: Unless the Lord builds the house, those who built it, labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.
God will always offer you the possible when the impossible is presented to you. Rest in God, regain your footing, get back to the blueprint of your faith. Expect the unexpected, it will happen. This time, this position which God has placed before you is daunting, yet wonderful and challenging. It will stretch your faith and test your will, relish in it, be thankful that you have been chosen for the task that is ahead. You have been called, not just by the people of America, but by God. At times it will seem surreal and overwhelming; and in those times remember WHO it was that chose you for this job, at this time, in our country's History. What a blessing, what a job, how great is our God - He will show you, allow Him to lead you. Take times to just be still, and take comfort and rest in His Arms.
In 1775 Samuel Adams said: Nothing is more essential to the establishment of manners in a State than that all persons employed in places of power and trust must be men of unexceptionable characters.
God Bless You Mr. President,
