The Promise of Possibilities - The Pursuit of God
The possibilities for our country have always been strong and we have somehow allowed the media and the world to dictate our perception of America. We need to reject the siege of the unending attacks on our values and our culture. Political rhetoric has turned us into a nation of whiners and an ungrateful people. We have been captivated for far to long by materialism, and we have forgotten the about the possibilities of possessing the internal strength we gain from knowing God as a people, and as a nation. We are one Nation, under God. I pray we come together now, and although we are different and unique, we are The United States of America.
Jesus told his apostles the following :
Mark 10:27 -30 27 Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God."
28 Peter said to him, "We have left everything to follow you!"
29 "I tell you the truth," Jesus replied, "no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel 30 will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life. 31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first."
A.W. Tozer said:The way to deeper knowledge of God is through the lonely valleys of soul poverty. The blessed ones who possess the kingdom are they who have repudiated every external thing and have rooted from their hearts all sense of possessing.
We have surrounded ourselves with meaningless stuff and we have forgotten to count all of our blessings. We have failed to thank God as individuals, and as a country, that we are fortunate to be Americans. Our possibilities are always endless when we have a strong determination. Pursue God first Mr. President knowing that life will always present you with challenges, and take refuge in knowing that our Heavenly Father will always bring about the possibilities.
I Pray Heaven to Bestow The Best of Blessing on THIS HOUSE, and on ALL that shall hereafter Inhabit it. May none but Honest and Wise Men ever rule under This Roof! ~ John Adams,November 2,1800
